Round Room Live, one of the world’s top family entertainment producers, has announced that founders and executives, Stephen Shaw and Jonathan Linden, have completed a management buyout of its lead investor, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. The acquisition was backed by Manhattan West, a Los Angeles-based strategic investment firm.
The result was Formula One: The Exhibition, a museum-grade installation of artifacts, videos, and interactive exhibits that offers fans a dive into the history of the sport, some motorized eye candy, and a few glimpses behind the curtain of F1 magic (i.e. engineering).
Toronto will host the highly anticipated North American premiere of the F1 Exhibition, set to open on May 3, 2024 and run through early summer at Lighthouse ArtSpace in downtown Toronto. Spanning 20,000 square feet, the exhibition promises enjoyment for both die-hard Formula One nerds and casual fans alike.
The acquisition will also allow eOne to delve into “classic artist touring and packaging,” Taylor says. “We do a lot in the adult urban stage, the metal stage. It’s not far fetched to think we could package and co-produce or co-promote tours.”
